What fruits can rabbits eat?

Rabbits can be fed a wide variety of fruits, but should be fed in moderation as fruit is high in sugar. Fruits should be fed as a treat, no more than 1-2 tablespoons per two kilograms of body weight per day. Some good options include:

  • Apples (remove the seeds and stem)
  • Bananas
  • Blueberries
  • Cantaloupe
  • Grapes (seedless)
  • Honeydew melon
  • Kiwi
  • Mango
  • Papaya
  • Pineapple
  • Plum
  • Raspberry
  • Strawberry
  • Watermelon

  • It is important to limit the amount of fruit fed to your rabbit to prevent digestive upset and to maintain a healthy weight. Additionally, it is important to introduce new foods gradually and to wash all fruits thoroughly before feeding to your rabbit.
